Strawberry Days Rodeo A New Tradition... Gotta love the rodeo. So, I'm really not a cowboy/country fan, but when it comes to rodeos I make the exception....and once in a while country dancing. That's pretty fun too. But, some of my friends and I have made it a tradition to go to the Pleasant Grove Strawberry Days rodeo on Saturday night. We have a lot of fun dibbing on the hot cowboys (I'm not gonna lie some of them are pretty hot), dancing to the music, laughing our heads off at the cow milking and screaming at the bull riding (secretly hoping the bulls will be mad enough to push the barrel with the clown). It's all great fun. If you haven't had a chance to go give me a ring and we'll all go next year! It's great. Although I have to say, "This year was an adventure." So, it started down pouring rain in the afternoon and didn't stop all evening long. In fact, it was still raining at about 6:30 when my friend Marty and I walked down to the rodeo grounds. Our pants were soaked by the time we got there. It rained off and on until about 7:30 when the Muttin' Bustin' started. Then it cleared right up! Although the floor was an absolute muddy mess. Made for a messy ride for those little cow people and the cowboys. It was great for the cow milking though. Oh and when the animals came galloping by the fence...yeah, we got some mud splashed on us. So here are some pictures of our time at the rodeo and I hope I can get the cow milking video up because that's pretty funny. All of us happy to be at the rodeo and trying to bare the rain. Back row: Kara, Katie and Mark Front row: Cara, Marty, Luke and Liz I love this picture with my name sake: Kara although she would tell you I'm her name sake....which is probably true since she's older. My friend Marty and I. I hope she doesn't kill me for putting this picture on. She wasn't feeling well and she hates being out in the rain but way to be a trooper Marty! Kara, Cara and Katie (Katie would never have the same face twice) whoosh! Say that ten times fast!
