Two New Adventures Today...
My friend Staci introduced me to two new things tonight: zumba and splash. I know, you're probably either asking yourself what the? Or wow...she really just heard of these things? Well, let me explain them both to you who have never heard of either. Or if you have heard of them, I will tell you of my experience with them.
A few days ago my friend Staci texted me to see if I wanted to go to a Zumba class. I had heard a little about that from my former room mate Barlow, but never really understood what it was. So, Staci and I met a friend of hers at the Pleasant Grove rec center for the 7:00pm Zumba class. It's a mixture of latin dancing and just plain old dancing. It was actually a lot of fun! But let me tell you I can't dance worth snot! I look hilarious when I dance, but hey it was a lot of fun. In fact, I plan to go again next week. The music is really fun I loved it. The moves really work you and I swear my calf muscles will be hating me tomorrow. But that's a good thing right? Zumba really works you good. It's a lot of fun though.
As for splash, well, my friend Staci and Amanda play it every Sunday with some members of their branch. Basically you take the white ball and the 8 ball from a pool table. You line them up and try to hit the 8 ball with the white ball. You have three chances with the first try. If you miss all three tries you get a letter in this case "s." After the first person hits the 8 ball, the next person has to try and hit the 8 ball with the white ball, but it has to be on the opposite side that the 8 ball is on. And if you are up to hit and the black ball goes in the pocket, you get a letter. You also get a letter if the 8 ball stops moving. So, the first person who spells out splash is out. So basically you are running around the pool table trying to hit the 8 ball with the white ball and trying not to get letters that spell out splash. It sounds pretty complicated but once you play it's really fun. You sure get your exercise by laughing and running around the table! I think this is an activity even my old man would approve!! :) I would love to get it on video sometime. May be I'll have to get a big group together to record it so you guys who have never played it can see a glimps of how fun it is and a work out!
So, that was my adventure tonight. Zumba and Splash. Sorry I don't have pictures.
