Tough Times

Hey!  So this is going to be more on the spiritual side of things.
This recent weekend I have been.going through some tough emotional things. Lots of tears, depression, prayers and great talks with loved ones who support me.
In talking with my mother, she reminded me again my happiness depends entirely on two things: 1) myself.  I had a lot of compliments on my outfits this weekend.  As well as my looks.  Which normally I am very self conscious about.  I had friends tell me how awesome I am.  While I certainly am humbled and grateful for those compliments, they really can't make me happy.  Happiness comes from within.
2) That happiness comes from how strong your relationship with Heavenly Father is.  I would also like to add how much you use the Atonement.  It is only through the Gospel that we can be trully happy.  It is through the plan of our Heavenly Father and His power that we can realize the.magnitude of who we are. It is through the Atonement in which we cleanse ourselves of imperfection. Of which we can lean on and give our heartaches.  I would like to share a link to my friend's blog.  I hope she doesn't mind.  She gives wonderful insight on this subject.  If you have time please check it out. She also has a channel on YouTube with inspirational videos. { In The Head of A l F o x }: 'CONTINUE' :Updates: New Video Coming: Firesides

While I am still not 100% out of as Anne of Green Gables says,"the debths of despair" I am mending.  I know it is through faith in and through the Atonement that can get me through this.  There will be more hard times to come for all of us.  But as I am learning, Satan wants us to be miserable.  He wants us to be in the slumps.  He wants us to feel and believe that we are not worth it.  That we have no where to go.  That we don't measure up.  We have all probably felt that at some point and will probably feel that again.
But because of the Savior we can know and have faith in the fact that we are princes and princesses of the Most High.  we are His children. We are important and have much potential.  Despite the world's voices of what beauty and health is, the Savior has other ideas.  He knows each of our potential.  He knows of our Divine Nature.

As they say in the South:
Keep on keepin' on.
