Journal Questions

So, I've decided to kinda copy my mom (sorry mom) and write somethings about myself from a jar that my mom has been using. It's a jar with a whole bunch of random questions about yourself. I picked two today:
"What are you favorite colors, flowers, food, activities, hobbies?"
"Tell about your grandparents. Where did they live? What was their house like? Did it have a paticular feel or smell to it?"

My favorite colors:
Red #1
Blue #2

My favorite flowers:
Rose #1
Daisies #2

My favorite food:
As far as fast food-
Costa Vida #1
Taco Amigo #2
McDonald's Breakfast #3
Any kinda of pizza place #4

Sit down places-
Village Inn #1
Texas Roadhouse #2
I hate to admit this but Chucka Rama #3

Regular food-
Roast beef #1
Mashed Potatoes #2
Chicken Cordon Blue #3
There are a lot more things I could put on but I'll just leave it at that.

Activities/Hobbies
(And not particularly in this oder)
Chillin' on the computer
Hanging with friends
Watching/buying movies
River rafting
Camping
Organizing

My grandparents-
My grandpa Carter passed away when I was in the 5th grade. He was a fun guy. I remember him having big belt buckles because when ever I'd hug him I would hit my face on his belt buckle sometimes. I hit just under his big belly. He was always happy. I can't remember if it was when we left or when we came, but he would always give us those vanilla oreo cookie things. Now we call them grandpa cookies. He would always sit in the big blue recliner by the big window. He also would occasionally give us those pink mints when we would go with him to church.
I remember one time he and grandma were driving us home in their white I think it was a catalac. It was very dark and he kept on telling us to watch out for deer. There wasn't anything specific or funny about that memory but I just remember it. I just remember everyone being kind of nervous.

My grandma Robins passed away in June of 2007. She was a small woman. She always had painted nails that were never chiped or cracked or had a smudge on them. She wore a rope thing that was kinda ugly, but that was what my grandma wore. She was always busy making sure that everyone was taken care of. There were several movies that we liked watching together. One is called Lattern Hill. That was the only thing that I wanted from her things was that movie and my parents made sure I got it. In fact, my mom got me a DVD of it for my birthday. I just love that movie becuase I can still hear my grandma laugh when I watch it.

My grandpa Robins passed away in January of 2008. He was a jolly man. He actually swore when ever he told us stories so it was kinda funny. He told us a lot of war stories because like many he fought in WW II. He liked to show us some of his WW II weapons including a pistol with a picture of my grandma on either side, a german knife, a saber I think and one of those that you usually use in the jungles to chop leaves and branches and stuff away with. He loved Boston Baked Beans and those chocolate orange sticks.

My grandma Carter is still alive. She is full of life and herself sometimes. She enjoys to tease people and says, "I don't tease you unless I like ya!" She enjoys sewing and crotcheting. In fact, for the girls when they graduate at least until me, we got an afgan blanket! It is very nice. She gives the boys a new set of scriptures. She has white poofy hair. She has a nickname for everyone. Mine is Marie. Because when she and my grandpa used to do name extractions for family history, my grandma was still looking for a nickname for me. That name came up and she thought, "perfect!" So, she has been calling me Marie ever since.

So, there you go. This is actually kind fun! I think I'll do this more often! Thanks mom for the idea!
