I know this is my 2nd entry for today, but I just wanted to write about an experience that was interesting tonight.
So, my dad is big into projects. He loves working with his hands and likes to think about ways of changing something in our house or our yard. We try to help him as a family.
His recent outdoor project has been to move our shed from one end of the yard to the other. So, where the shed used to be he had us put sod down. Before we started tonight I was extreamly onry. Work made me a bit grumpy and I didn't feel like going anywhere or doing anything. I didn't want to work either. But my wise mom invited me strongly to come work outside with them. So I did. After a while I forgot about being angry and onry and I actually started to have fun with my family. I enjoyed getting in the back of the truck and pulling off the sod and folding it and loading it into the wheelbarrow.
So the thing that I learned that service actually does take your anger and frustration away. I knew that before but it's been a while since I've actually experienced it. It was kinda fun to realize my transformation.
Service+work=change of attitude.

That is the lesson that I learned from sod.

Glad you didn't add "old" to that "wise" part!! Had a great time working with you, too! Love you!
