So, every year around the second weekend in August, we go to my grandma's who lives in Alpine. We like to just chill mostly and laugh and do different activities. They have a big city celebration on Saturday which starts off with those loud fireworks at 6:00AM. Then they have a race at around 7AM. Which my dad and I ran. We ran the 5K in 35:40. I was 11th in my age group and my dad was 12th in his age group. It wasn't a very difficult race, but I am not in the greatest shape.
Sadly I spent most of the day Saturday sick after that. But it was fun when I was well being with family. (And friends.)
